The Brennan Prize will be awarded to the competitor (in either the semi-finals or the final) who, in the opinion of the Jury, is ‘the most promising musician’ in the 2012 competition.

"The John Vallery memorial Prize" will be awarded to the person (in either the Semi-Final or Final), whom in the opinion of the Jury has given 'the best performance by a string player' in the 2012 Competition.
