Biography |

Louise Sheehan first began studying flute at Cork City Music College in 1999. She was taught by Shena Shortall for nine years and then at age eighteen, commenced taking lessons with Sabine Ducrot. She is currently in her final year of the BMus degree course at Cork School of Music. As a keen ensemble player, Louise has played in such organizations as the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland, Cork School of Music Symphony Orchestra and Cork School of Music's Wind Ensemble. She is also an enthusiastic chamber musician. Louise has won numerous prizes at Feis Maitiu and Feis Ceoil, as well as being selected as a finalist twice in the Cork School of Music Senior Recital competition. In her spare time, Louise teaches flute at Cork City Music College.
