The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of Ireland

Message from the Grand Master

When addressing Grand Lodge in June 2009, I said how very impressed I was with the support given by the Grand Lodge of Scotland to the ‘Young Musician of the Year Competition’ which they sponsor in Scotland.  As a result of this, I was encouraged by many Freemasons to promote and sponsor a similar competition on an All-Ireland basis starting in 2010.

I am delighted that we have the professional support of our Patrons, namely; Jane Carty, Dearbhla Collins, Eamonn Lawlor, and John Rowden, to all of  whom I am most grateful.

I thank you for your support of these young musicians, whose professional development will be significantly enhanced. I trust that you all have an uplifting and satisfying experience as a result of our venture.

The Competition performances are as follows:-

Freemasons' Hall, 17 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2

Semi-Finals:
Thursday 14th October at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Final:
Saturday 16th October at 7:30 p.m.

Ticket Purchase will commence on Wednesday 1st September and I would advise you that seating is limited.
